If you went to college within the past 20 years, then there is about a 99.58% chance that you have played, or at least heard of beer pong (beirut).
The game has come a long way in the past couple years. There are beer pong video games, tournaments, official rules, even floating beer pong tables. In fact, the World Series of Beer Pong (WSOBP) that is held in Las Vegas, has a prize of $50,000. One day I hope to win the WSOBP, hey, you never know.
Let's back up one second though. Did I say "official rules". Yep, I sure did. There are official beer pong rules that are consistent from tournament to tournament. They are actually pretty fair, so take a deep breath and relax, it will be okay.
The good news is that house rules always trump official rules. So if you so choose, you can continue to play that a topper* is game over. You can play no leaning**. You can play that girls can blow and guys can finger***. You can even play with Pimp Cups!
Introducing Pimp Cup Pong
Here at Prime Pimpin, we laugh at red solo cups. We find the generic red cups sold at Wal-Mart called "gametime cups" hilarious. Here at Prime Pimpin, we play with PIMP Cups.
*A topper is when two ping pong balls are made in the same cup in the same turn.
**The players throwing elbow must be behind the edge of the beer pong table.
***If the ping pong ball is spinning in the cup, females can attempt to blow the ball so that it doesn't land, and males can attempt to knock the ball out with their finger.
