The Prime Pimpin guys would like you to know a few quick facts about
Cinco de Mayo:
FACT: Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for "fifth of May".
FACT: Although celebrated like crazy with excessive partying in
America, it's only a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated
in the state of Puebla.
FACT: The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory
over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the
leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín.
FACT: Cinco de Mayo and St. Patricks Day always fall on the same day
of the week? Yep, even on leap years (that is because both March 17th
and May 5th come after February.
FACT: Margarita's are delicious out of a Cinco de Mayo Pimp Cup!
So raise your pimp cups and cheers to General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín,
but please drink responsibly. Nobody likes to die.
